Student. Googler. People person.

I was born into a long line of compassionate people. My grandmother was a midwife in India, bravely wielding a kirpan through the village in the middle of the night alone to deliver babies. My mother was an elementary school teacher who adored her students, always nurturing their natural talents and abilities.

It's therefore no surprise that I've always been drawn to human-centered careers. I studied Communication at USC, driven by a desire to better understand human connection on an individual, group, and systemic level. This major paired well with my minor in Advertising, a field I was drawn to because of ads' ability to resonate with people emotionally and persuade action—often within a tiny window of time or space. I watch the Super Bowl for the ads and, despite no longer being in the industry, the magic of a 30 second ad that can leave me in tears of laughter, joy, or nostalgia never fails to amaze me.

As I've progressed in my career, my desire to work closely with people has continued to blossom. As a tech recruiter at Google, I work with senior clients within the UX space who have very particular needs for their open roles. I listen with empathy, ask open questions, and seek their feedback to find them the best talent pool possible. When it comes to my candidates, I respect that changing careers at such a senior level represents a massive life transition. I strive to understand what they're looking for in an ideal team and to find them the best home possible within Google.

In May 2022, I started voluntarily delivering Self-Compassion Workshops at Google in my free time. This reminded me how much I enjoy speaking with people about how to fortify their mental health. Since then, I've pioneered a yearlong well-being program for the recruiting organization which I tailored to the unique ebbs and flows that our job often entails. I'll also be joining the Fall 2023 cohort of Chapman University's MFT master's degree, where I'm hoping to further cultivate information on how to help those around me to foster greater wellbeing.

UX Recruiter
To recruit is to wear many hats. In my day-to-day, I seek to understand what my hiring managers are looking for. I hunt for the best, most inclusive talent pool of UX leaders. I onboard and train the many new team members that have joined in my five years in UX Staffing.

Oracle Corporation
Account Executive
I sold databases to people who worked on databases for a living. And, as someone who didn't know what a database was when I started at Oracle, that was daunting. Eventually though, I learned that most of sales is asking the right questions, listening compassionately, and showing up as a dependable ally.
